Our Etna live webcam provides a stunning view of the volcano's summit craters.
Rising above the city of Catania (Sicily), Mount Etna is the highest and most active volcano in Europe.
Continuous eruptions, explosions and extensive lava flows (or “lava fountains”) are often observed through this very cam.
Thanks to our live camera, in fact, clear images of Etna's four summit craters can be admired: the Voragine and Bocca Nuova (Central Craters), the Northeast Crater (Etna's highest peak, 3,330m above sea level) and the Southeast Crater.
During volcanic eruptions, Mount Etna spews lava along its flanks and through its summit craters; tourists can, therefore, safely hike during periods of volcanic inactivity.
